don’t look ahead warns Gamba Osaka coach Akira Nishino
By: 21 | December 12th, 2008Although Adelaide United’s 2-1 defeat of Waitakere United was far from impressive Gamba Osaka coach Akira Nishino is urging his side not to look beyond their quarter-final match-up against the A-League side in the Club World Cup and Manchester United.
It was has shaped up as a replay of AFC Champions League final, Mr. Nishiro is more than aware Adelaide is anxious to face Gamba. He added:
“Attention is all focused on a match with Manchester United but I told my players not to answer questions or give interviews about it. It isn’t good for us to go into the Club World Cup in a light-headed mood as a team. We want to fully put our minds on the first match. The two AFC final matches are not on my mind at all. If we win one match, it will open up a chance for us to play three matches all together. It will wrap everything up for this year.”
